Pomayrols overlooks the Lot valley. In one of the rooms of the château, that dominates the village, this mini-museum holds a remarkable collection of agricultural tools from years gone by. Through these tools, M. Badoc makes working the fields, the vineyards and the strawberries of this Vallée d'Olt come back to life. A passionate trip back in time.
Saint Eulalie d'Olt, classed amongst the plus beaux villages de France (most beautiful villages in France), has set up an artistic and craft centre. A old 17th century barn has been restored to enable the installation of artists and artisans d'art (artistic craftsmen). This building called "Eulalie d'Art" houses 6 creation workshops that perpetuate the "savoir-faire".
Yann is an artist glass blower with 22 years' experience acquired in a Paris workshop. Yann opens his workshop to visitors and shapes glass in front of the public. Demonstrations every morning from 1st July to 31st August.
The abbey of Bonneval, from the 12th century, was initially a monastery of the Cistercian order, then aboned in the revolution, the ruins were rebuil in 1875 by a community of Trappistines. The nuns lived from their manual work, and made excellent chocolate: the famous chocolate of Bonneval.
