Perched on its rocky promontory, the Fort d'Aubin has watched over the town from time immemorial
What remains of this ancient feudal fortress are the church de la Cène and the defensive tower. Numerous stairways cut into the rock escarpment bear witness to the Romanesque presence and lead to the summit of the site where one discovers a superb panoramic view of the valley. At the entrance, the statue of the Virgin Mary and child welcome visitors. In the old centre of Aubin (Vieil Aubin) in the ancient market place, the14th century "halle aux grains" cereal market and its 5 measuring weights and beautiful timber framed houses.
