The Métiers d’Art Bastide
Today, the commune benefits from a network of high quality artistic artisans.
These assets justified the creation of a centre of artistic artisans with the support of the communauté de communes du Pays Baraquevillois (grouping of local councils in the Baraqueville area).
This Bastide des métiers d'art project came to fruition with the renovation of the old convent and presbytery to house future exhibitions and artistic creation courses run by local artisans. It led to the construction of eight new art workshops for artists and artisans newly arrived in the commune, of different expressive styles and complementary to the artists of long standing.
