Ideally located in the Aveyron, at the heart of the Vallée du Lot and the entrance to Aubrac, Mandailles, XVIth century village built on a rocky ridge drops steeply to the lake of Castelnau-Lassouts-Lous, famous for carnivore fishing.

The museum, set in the former church, presents two kinds of collection : the Joseph Vaylet folk arts museum ; and the musée du scaphandre, presenting artefacts related to the history of diving, in tribute to Rouquayrol and Denayrouze.
Perched above the town of Espalion, the castle of Calmont d'Olt is a historic monument which dominates the Lot valley. Daily shows and live demonstrations with siege machines everyday during the summer holidays.
