Domaine Bertau

On the clay-limestone sun-drenched slopes overlooking the Tarn, up and down stream form Millau, the 142 acre vineyard, in bygone years renowned for supplying the Popes of Avignon, is experiencing a real renaissance. The whites associate equal parts of mauzac and chenin grapses, the reds and rosés bring together the freshness of gamay and the power of syrah grapes. To discover: the renowned Domaine BERTAU rosé. An excellent wine to lay down, an agreeable local Aveyron wine and the range of local aperitifs (cartagène, guignolet, vin de noix (nut wine), apéritif à la truffe (truffle aperitif)).
Attentive about the quality of its products, the Domaine Bertau changed to organic farming in 2002. Checked by Ecocert for the Agriculture Biologique et Déméter (Organic Farming and Déméter) for dynamic organic farming, you will meet a family passionate about organic farming at the Domaine Bertau. Visit the wine making cellar and the tasting cellar. For 2011: introduction to tasting, botanical trail, pre-Roman chapel, ancient press, visit the vineyards, discover the milieu.
