Between limestone plateaus and valleys, mountains and gorges, this route will introduce you to the 11 Most Beautiful Villages of Aveyron, including Estaing in the wonderful and verdant Lot Valley, Najac overlooking the Aveyron Gorges, or else Conques and its treasure...From high plateaus of Aubrac to the Tarn Gorges, this circuit covers the entire department. From medium to difficult level, this route alternates between challenges throughout the trip.

Stage :

You'll go through the Rouergue Bastide land and pass by Villefranche-de-Rouergue, a town with a remarkable heritage. Its iconic Aveyron attractions will dazzle you : The Chartreuse Saint-Sauveur, the Chapel of the Black Penitents, the collegiate church Notre-Dame.

Keep cycling along the Aveyron Valley to discover two more bastide towns, La Bastide-l'Évêque and Rieupeyroux. You finally arrive in the romantic listed village of Belcastel, huddled in its valley under the watchful eye of its fortified castle. From this village, one last effort remaining to climb up to the Rignacois plateau and complete the stage.
