A village steeped in history…
The old town of pink sandstone is built as a fortress around its castle. The two churches and the priory bear witness to the splendor of Romanesque art. The streets and the tangle of old houses evoke daily life in ancient times.
An astonishing hydraulic system from the Middle Ages supplied Castelnau with water and operated three mills.
