Musée Denys-Puech (groupes)
Next to works by the sculptor Aveyronnais Denys PUECH (1854-1942), famous for his feminine portraits imbued with melancholy, the museum presents an important collection of contemporary art.
Entirely renovated in 1989, the museum presents sculptures by Denys Puech as well as works by his friends, the Orientalist painter Maurice Bompard and the engraver Eugène Viala. The contemporary collection presents in rotation: sculptors - François Bouillon, Francis Mascles, Bernard Pagès, Carmen Perrin, Nicolas Sanhes - and painters - Cosme de Scoraille, Michel Cure, Rolino Gaspari, Paul Kallos - engaging an astonishing dialogue with artist of the past. Temporary exhibitions enable you to explore other aspects of contemporary creation. Outside the building, a monumental work christened "Integration" by François Morellet in 1989, symbolises the museum's current vocation centred on 20th century sculpture. Since 2005, an ensemble of yellow dogs by sculptor Aurèle have taken their place on the main façade of the museum.
