From La Salvetat follow the D905 towards Carmaux for 3.5km. The ruins of the Chateau are on the left. It's hard to imagine that this castle, perched on a pinnacle above the Lézert, was once so important that it gave its name to the whole region (Peyralès). You'll find information on the panel just before the castle. THE RUINS ARE DANGEROUS. ACCESS IS FORBIDDEN.
