Built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the impressive and unusual landscape of the Rougier de Camarès, Montaigut Castle and its old village will undoubtedly take you on a journey through history.
Immerse yourself in the Middle-Ages as you visit the thirteen furnished rooms of this unique castle dating from the 10th century and built on an ancient necropolis. And enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding red soil region from the top of the castle.
Costumes for adults and children are available free of charge during the visit!
Then, stroll through the old uninhabited village to discover daily rural life in France in the early and mid-20th century.
