Stroll around, meet the artisans, and let yourself be charmed by the authenticity of this place where tradition and creativity come together. A must-visit destination for lovers of handmade craftsmanship and heritage.
Bruno is a colourful and charismatic character, always smiling and full of energy. A passionate woodturner, he loves working with living wood, transforming it to reveal its beauty and soul. Through woodturning, he elevates raw material into art, creating unique pieces such as lamps, spheres, trays, salad bowls, pens and bottle stoppers. For Bruno, creativity knows no limits. He works exclusively with local woods such as beech and ash, respecting the history and nature of every piece.
For him, wood is not just a material; it is a story, a journey, a dialogue between nature and the human hand. Meeting Bruno means leaving inspired, amazed, and perhaps even touched by the contagious enthusiasm of this truly unique craftsman.
Meeting Bruno also means discovering an exceptional place. He welcomes visitors to the heart of a medieval hamlet that he patiently restored with his own hands while preserving all of its original charm. Stepping into the Bergerie des Artisans means entering a world where the craftsmanship of South Aveyron comes to life and where every object tells the story of a transformation from raw material to something extraordinary.
Bernard Bricolard is an artist in constant creative motion, always searching for new forms of expression. Painting, drawing, woodworking, or experimenting with other materials—nothing can limit his imagination. His wooden sculptures are strikingly realistic, almost as if they were alive and breathing. His paintings and drawings invite viewers to smile, reflect, and sometimes even blush, revealing his remarkable ability to evoke every emotion.
What makes his art so vibrant is the man behind the work. Passionate, generous, and deeply human, Bernard shares his world openly, inviting visitors into his creative process and transmitting the energy that drives him to invent endlessly. Every piece tells a story, and every detail reflects his humour, sensitivity, and unique perspective on the world.
With Bernard Bricolard, art is never static. It bubbles with life, surprises, and provokes reactions. His works are not merely to be admired; they are meant to be experienced and felt, carrying the mark of an artist who pours his heart into everything he creates.
Anaïs is an artist fascinated by wood and by the beauty of the infinitely small. Every piece, every fragment becomes an opportunity for creation. Her unique vision transforms even the simplest object into a work of art. From wooden spoons to hairpins, nothing escapes her curiosity and meticulous attention to detail. She carves, polishes and shapes each piece with passion and care.
Her art is both delicate and surprising. Every creation reveals subtle poetry, gentle humour, or unexpected beauty hidden within everyday objects. Anaïs breathes life into the ordinary and invites us to look at the world with greater attention, patience, and wonder.
What touches visitors most is the person behind the artwork. Anaïs works with rare sensitivity and an exceptional love of detail that shines through every gesture. Her creations become small stories to share. With her, wood tells stories, the small becomes great, and art finds its place in everyday life with grace, refinement, and passion.
Ti’ Moun gives wood a second life by transforming it into unique games and toys. Using offcuts and reclaimed wood, he cuts, sands, paints, and assembles each creation with great care. Depending on the design, he adds wheels, fasteners, or cords, and suddenly a cheerful wooden horse is ready to gallop away. With remarkable skill, he also creates wooden puzzles depicting countryside scenes and animals, all rich in charm and detail. Among his creations is the Cornhole game, very popular in Canada and the United States. The concept is simple and fun: players throw small bags filled with corn towards a hole in a wooden board. He also crafts wooden 3D versions of Connect Four and an entire menagerie of carved animals, each carefully made to delight both children and adults. In his workshop, wood becomes a source of play, imagination, and wonder.
