Campagnac is one of the gateways to the département of the Aveyron, in the Parc Naturel des Grands Causses (55 km from Rodez and 45 km from Millau), close to exit 41 of the A75 motorway. Campagnac probably developed around a Gallo-roman staging post on the ancient route that linked Rodez and the Gévaudan.
