L'Arc en Miel : visite-immersion au coeur du monde des abeilles

Original and friendly discovery to experience(s) in a honey house, between nature and flavours !

An original and friendly experience focused on the discovery of a honey house, between nature and flavours !

Nadia and Bruno who have been professional organic beekeepers for 10 years, welcome you in their honey house to share their passion on a lively and interactive tour.

You will safely attend the opening of a hive live, with simultaneous macro video. You will discover in real time, on several educational hives, the types of bees, their exchanges, the day's harvests and sometimes a bee birth... Set up and dismantle an empty hive to understand how it works, then uncap a honey frame, put on the beekeeper's working dress. It is also an opportunity to exchange with these professionals who are supporters of a positive view of beekeeping, respectful of living things. The opportunity to get your own idea about the present and the future of bees.

You will finish with an introductory tasting session: their 8 to 10 organic and local honeys are to be discovered, forming a palette of unsuspected flavours !

Just for you and your family or friends, and you become the beekeeper !

Experience the visit-immersion in a unique way : we open the honeyhouse especially for you and your family or friends (1 to 12 persons maximum), you put on the special suit and you are the beekeeper !

Do you fancy setting up 1, 2, 3, beehives in your garden to produce your own honey? Would you like to pollinate fruits and vegetables in your garden, or do you simply enjoy watching bees do their work and want to take care of them? Would you like first to check your abilities with bees and learn the basics before you start? The current environmental setting requires starting beekeeping with some basic knowledge and mastering adequate and precise movements.

Throughout this introduction course, Bruno who is a professional beekeeper, offers to people wishing to set their first hives and needing to acquire good basic knowledge, a two-day period during which they'll be totally immersed in the amazing world of bees. You'll have the opportunity to practice with two types of beehives (Warré and Dadant), enabling you to test your abilities and find out their differences.
