Le Château de Montaigut dominant le Rougier et offrant une vue panoramique magnifique.
Fier comme les Chevaliers du Rouergue qui l’habitèrent, le Château de Montaigut domine les Rougiers de Camarès et invite à la visite. Haute perchée sur son éperon rocheux, cette merveilleuse bâtisse du Xe siècle offre, en été, l’hospitalité à un festival de théâtre de qualité.

N’oubliez pas de visiter la maison rurale transformée en musée, le Château, cela va de soi, et de flâner aux alentours du hameau en jouissant de la vue imprenable.

Le Rougier de Camarès, c’est aussi là que de nombreuses statues-menhirs, aujourd’hui exposées au musée Fenaille de Rodez, ont été trouvées. On peut aussi les contempler sur place au musée Statues-Menhirs Abbé Bec Damien à Saint-Crépin.
