Watery pleasures

The waters of the Lot are the ideal playground for outdoor activities: canoeing, kayaking, rafting, boat hire…

Discovering the region from the water is one of the most pleasant ways of permeating this land. Water sports centresare to be found at Sainte-Eulalie d’Olt, Espalion and Entraygues.

The good life

This very beautiful valley is bathed in a gentleness and privileged serenity that is also found in the ambiance of its villages.

From Saint-Laurent d'Olt to Entraygues-sur-Truyère villages large and small, where traditions live on, succeed one another each offering a warm welcome.

The flavours of the Pays d’Olt (Lot country) are proof of this art de vivre: trout, tripous, ceps, farçous, foie gras, cous farcis and confits, sheep’s and goat’s cheeses, not forgetting the beers of Saint-Geniez and the wines of Estaing and Entraygues-Le Fel.

Not far from there, Le Fel: A village, a vineyard, a futuristic pottery

Just above Entraygues, (you can get to it via a footpath) is the character village built on a narrow ridge that dominates the Lot valley. Stroll along the discovery circuit through the vineyards and the village, the views over the valley are breath taking!

Close by, you will discover the Galerie du Don, European cultural centre of contemporary ceramics.

The wines of Estaing and Entraygues-Le Fel

The mildness of the climate of this protected valley has enabled the development of vineyards on the hillsides of Estaing and Entraygues-Le Fel since the Middle Ages. Classed as AOC, these wines are produced in small quantities by local producers.
