La Capelle Bleys

Lying to the west of the Ségala plateau, the commune of La Capelle-Bleys comprises the village centre, once known as Douzoulet, and several others, including Le Jarlagou, where the river Jaoul rises.

The countryside is typical of the area and offers the walker both farmland and wooded valleys; from its summit at le Puech de la Chèvre (728m), you'll discover a vast panorama over the plateau.

Farming is the main acivity and La Capelle has preserved a lansdscape of fields and meadows, enclosed by hedges. Here, several farms produce the famous Aveyron and Ségala veal, combining traditional breeding skills with a respect for the environment.

On the village square, you'll find the Bar-Restaurant “Le Douzoulet”, serving authentic local cuisine in the magnificent 19th century former presbytery.

Numerous designated walks will help you discover this lovely and diverse landscape all year round.
