The welcome point of Saint-Jean d'Alcas is open from april to november. Explore the fortress and let yourself charm by this jewel of cistercian architecture.
This fort was built in 1439 to protect the villagers from the Hundred Years War which was particularly rampant in Rouergue. It is a small fort, remarkable for the Cistercian regularity of the streets and houses. You will discover the 13th century church, the room of justice and many other architectural curiosities. In the upper parts of the ramparts, you will walk from the abbess's house to the refuge room and finally from the rampart walk to the pepper tower,
Le Point Accueil organizes guided tours, activities and games for children every Friday during the summer, concerts and other activities throughout the tourist season.
