Eglise et croix d'Orlhaguet

In Orlhaguet, one of the most beautiful villages in the north Aveyron, nicknamed the "Nice of the mountain" come and discover a series of 13 sculpted crosses from the 15th and 16th centuries that naturally lead you to the fortified church, half Romanesque, half Gothic, surmounted by massive defence constructions dating from the 14th century.
The Croix d'Orlhaguet dates from the 15th and 16th centuries are particularly remarkable. The 16th century cross in the church square is a listed Historic Monument, the cross on the bridge over the Argence, the cross on the crossroad of the square and the D98 road, the cross of the Puech d'Orlhageut, the cross de l'évêque at the crossroads of the D98 and the D900 roads and the numerous crosses to be discovered along the roads in the area. The church of Orlhaguet dedicated to St Etienne was built or rather re-built in the 12th century, it was raised in the 14th century to serve as a refuge tower. Romanesque capitals and portal. 14th century statue of the virgin and child.
