Ostrich breeding: circuit and commentary about the farm, the production and processing of ostriches. Traditional breeding of fattened ducks, production and processing of ducks.
The Ferme de la Légrie rears its ostriches in the heart of the Rouergue in the commune of Najac. The birds are free range and feed on grass and cereals. The great originality of ostriches rests in their very tasty meat: low in calories and fat, very low cholesterol level, very rich in protein. A few of our products: steak, carpaccio, galantine, civet, pâté or ostrich sausages, without forgetting the eggs, to taste or decorate... Leather goods (ostrich leather) bags, wallets, belts, etc... Fattened ducks (foie gras, confits, cous farcis)...
